According to eminent domain attorneys William Goldman and Michael Braunstein, the Rover Pipeline project has grown in scope.

That project will include two parallel 42-inch high-powered natural gas transmission pipelines across 600 miles of Ohio and Michigan. The pipelines will carry natural gas produced from the Utica shale operations. The project is a network of pipelines with a hub in Defiance and will go through a portion of Crawford County, mainly through the northeast quadrant of the county. The gas will be delivered at a rate of 1,440 pounds per square inch.

Construction is expected to begin this year and the pipelines are projected to be in operation in 2017.

Goldman and Braunstein held prior meetings for affected landowners and has scheduled another open meeting for 6 p.m., this Wednesday, in the Kehoe Center in Shelby, Room 166.
