'Disability Rights Ohio' has launched the 'Plan Your Vote' program in an effort to ensure people with disabilities don't run into any issues casting their ballots this upcoming election season.

The organization is providing some key tips:

  • A poll worker can help you cast your ballot.
  • You can take as much time as you need.
  • If you cannot enter your polling location due to your disability you can vote curbside.

The group's executive director, Kertin Sjoberg, gave ABC 6 insight into why this knowledge is so important.

"We're really trying to get the word out about the new type of I.D., the new timelines so individuals with disabilities and really all voters because it impacts how everyone will know what they're rights," said Sjoberg.
